BoxNation is the best thing to happen to British Boxing for many years. I’m really looking forward to some great fights from the UK. Well done to the lads and Frank Warren for putting together this dream channel to the die hard boxing fan’s. The launch of BoxNation started in the York Hall, Bethnel Green, the home of British boxing which has held host since it’s doors opened for boxing in 1929 and has had some of the to some of the greatest battles to take place in the UK, and is considered one of the top 7 boxing venues in the world.
There were some great fights on the undercard for the first live broadcast. The atmosphere looked absolutely amazing and like an oven in there. Even the commentator said of Referee Ian John-Lewis ‘The shine is on’ as the fight got underway. It’s great to see Bunce back on top form and back as one of the UK’s favourite boxing pundit as he really is the main mouth of British boxing and has been greatly missed from our screens since Setanta ended, and boxing took a massive hit on this lose as we were only then left with the mighty Sky to give us a limited amount of world class boxing from around the world.
If you missed the main event of Liam Walsh vs Paul Appleby, you must watch the replay that will be shown on BoxNation. This fight was absolutely amazing and well worth a watch. This is already a contender for the best British fight of the year, and gave Boxnation a quality opener. To all fight fans in the UK, please support Boxnation as I am sure we have only seen the very tip of a very big iceberg of what is going to be on offer for £10 a month…Bargain!
Keep an eye on the BoxNation YouTube Channel. I suspect more cool videos will follow.
